Can’t pick next task - comments or a news feed  both are crucially important

Oooo I love the idea of a news feed to keep everyone up to date on the latest manul news especially heading into kitten season when hopefully we’ll get lots of birth announcements!

Comments would be awesome too but my measly vote is for the feed.

Thank you for your input! Having manul news would be great, I agree!

I’d also vote for a news feed! There are a lot of places to get bits of manul news, but having everything in one place would be much easier :newspaper_roll:

This is a brilliant addition! I’m going to go exploring with these emojis in hand tomorrow…

Guys, I tragically didn’t realize that there was a second ManulizationLive Youtube channel until now, and I can’t stop watching! I love the zoo tours, but my favorite is honestly just listening to @vika talking to the various animals and especially the manuls. Even in the ones without subtitles, where I don’t understand what you’re saying, I still find it somehow very soothing! I imagine the manuls must feel the same: “I don’t understand what this person is saying but it sounds very nice and calming.” :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: Thank you guys once again for these lovely videos, and I’m excited to listen to you converse with manuls more in the future, Vika!

I totally agree! I have to say, for me it was a pleasure watching the video from Poznań zoo - I was there literally 3 days before this video was taken and it felt so nice to go back there again  Not to mention that in this video I got to see what as a normal visitor I couldn’t see - the backyard where grandpa Borys lives  Thank you @vika ! I’m looking forward to the update on manul Markiza, who was born in Poznań, I hope the Zoo provided any info.

Ooh, thank you so much, @mnamosyna! That really means a lot to me! I’m so happy to hear you enjoy this format of our video walks through different zoos where manuls live!

This idea actually came about quite spontaneously a few years ago, when we visited the La Torbiera Breeding Centre in Italy for the first time. It left a deep and lasting impression on me because it’s so different from the typical urban zoo format we’re used to. I felt a strong urge to show it to all our followers!
And just like that, this video format was born :raising_hands:

Once again, thank you so much for your kind and warm words! They truly keep me going and give me the strength to continue doing this! :orange_heart:

You’re very welcome! :green_heart:

I also had the same thought about La Torbiera and many of the other zoos you visited, how it really felt more like walking through nature than walking through a zoo. Most of the zoos I’ve been to – especially the large ones like Bronx and Philadelphia – you feel like… well, like you’re walking through a zoo! Which isn’t to say that the animal habitats aren’t wonderful, because they very much are, but I guess you could say the HUMAN habitat feels more urbanized, like you’re walking through a town that swapped out houses and stores for animal exhibits, rather than like you’re walking through the woods, encountering the animals. If that makes sense.

Oh! Yes! You’ve found the perfect words to explain the difference between these two types of zoos! I know exactly what you mean

There’s an interesting zoo near me in New Jersey that’s a drive-through zoo. So it’s basically just a huge area where the animals are able to roam around. Dangerous predators, like the big cats, are kept in fenced-in enclosures, but all the herbivores just wander freely… including right up to your car window! (My friend broke the rules once when we were kids and rolled her window down and got licked by a giraffe for her crime!) I can’t say it gives the same natural-feeling experience since you are in your car the whole time, but it is an very different experience, more like a safari than a zoo.

(Unfortunately, they don’t have any manuls, but I suppose they’re too small to be safely exhibited that way.)

Thank you so much, @mikesierra! :orange_heart:
I’m so happy you enjoyed our video from Poznań! I really loved the Poznań Zoo — I was amazed by how huge it is! It’s really big! I also loved that there are several large lakes on its grounds! it’s so cool!
Roma and me are very grateful to the zoo staff for showing us all their wonderful manuls — thanks to them, we were able to share this with you! :raising_hands:
They also provided us with information about Markiza, which we will definitely share with you (we just need a bit of time to clarify a few things).

Hahaha, I love the idea of being licked by a giraffe! It sounds magical! :joy:
By the way, Roma and I have never been to a safari park-style zoo. I would really love to visit one someday!
