:high_voltage:Ура! В России появился ещё один зоопарк с манулом — «Роев ручей» в Красноярске!

В июне из Новосибирского зоопарка в Роев Ручей переехал один из старших сыновей манула Евы (#1, которого мы называли Молнией*).

И теперь у него есть официальное имя – Борис! :heart_eyes:

Манул уже прошёл карантин – теперь его можно увидеть на экспозиции и познакомиться с этим очаровательным и серьёзным красавцем котолично! :smiling_cat_with_heart_eyes:

Пожелаем Борису манульего счастья в его новом доме, уютного вольера и самых заботливых киперов! :heart:

:high_voltage:Hooray! Another zoo in Russia now has a manul — Roev Ruchey in Krasnoyarsk!

In June, one of the eldest sons of Eve the manul (#1, whom we call Molniya*) moved from Novosibirsk Zoo to his new home — Royev Ruchey.

And now he has an official name — Boris! :heart_eyes:

The manul has already completed his quarantine, and now you can see him on display and meet this serious and handsome floof in purr-son! :smiling_cat_with_heart_eyes:

Let’s wish Boris a smooth adjustment to his new home and the kindest, most caring zookeepers! :heart:

So exciting for Boris to get to be a manul pioneer, spreading manul love to a new zoo and city! :smiling_face:

I wonder if it’s strange to go from a zoo with many manuls like Novosibirsk to being on your own… I hope he’s not lonely, but of course since manuls are naturally solitary animals maybe it’s a relief to finally be the undisputed king of his own castle! :crown:

You right, manuls are solitary animals and most of the times they are more comfortable alone :slight_smile: So I think that he is happy in manul way :slight_smile:

I wonder if he wants a mate already. How old are they when they usually start mating? :thinking:

The Krasnoyarsk Zoo actually planned to keep a pair of manuls (at least that’s what they stated in the media). I read that they’re planning to find a manuless for Boris not at the Novosibirsk Zoo. Boris is already two years old and ready for romantic adventures! :grinning_face:

I hope Boris gets himself a girlfriend soon or at least in time for next year’s breeding season! :grin::grin:

I’m guessing they’re looking elsewhere than Novosibirsk to try to diversify the gene pool? I hope they find the perfect bride for him!

Exactly! They’d like to find a bride who isn’t related to him. But, admittedly, that’s not easy to do in Russia now :frowning:
