The Natural History Museum in London sponsors and hosts the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. The 2024-5 competition was its 60th Anniversary, and the winning photographs are still being exhibited there until the end of June.
I went to see the exhibition last week. They have 100 photos displayed through several rooms, printed large and backlit. The categories include themes like Animals in their Environment, Plants & Fungi, and Under Water, and there are a few age-related categories too.
The entry was Highly Commended in the Behaviour: Mammals category. It’s not the first time there’s been a manul photo in the competition, but I particularly like this one. The dedication it took to track the cats for so long and in such harsh conditions is inspiring, and the photo itself is the kind of manul drama you could only see in the wild.
If you can’t make it, they also have an online gallery (it’s not currently working for me but you might have better luck): Online Gallery.
And finally, if you like the photo, they’re also selling prints at a range of sizes and canvas types, so you can keep this award-winning manul in your home!
Кстати, я очень рекомендую репродукции фотографий, которые они продают. Они действительно отличного качества!
У нас с Ромой висит такое фото на стене, очень красиво
