In April 2024 Swedish manul Loesje became a mom of 4 lovely kittens, we called them minuls. The Nordens Ark zoo did a livestream from the den in which the little ones grew before our eyes 
it was beautiful, Loesje was a wonderful mom. Unfortunately by the end of July the family got sick and the stream was cancelled. The 4 kittens turned out to be 1 male and 3 females. The boy and then one of the girls died as a result of a disease, their mother had to be sedated a few months later due to health issues 
Now Nordens Ark is a home to the remaining two beautiful girls and I hope it’s the end of bad luck for them

When Loesje and Thomas O’Malley had kittens in April, the Norden’s Ark Zoo streamed from their den. They added night-vision cameras too, and when the kittens started leaving the den they put cameras outside so we could see them running around the enclosure.
It was a brilliant innovation and I hope they got a lot of donations from it. And also such a privilege to watch those kittens growing up – it’s something that probably wouldn’t have been seen by almost any humans before the invention of videocameras and the internet!
You can still check out a few of the stream archives at their Youtube page here. They don’t have archives of the entire stream, especially those early weeks, but it’s still great to stick on in the background when you’re at home!

My collection is growing fast! I bought these stickers and badges from @paplaacat’s shop – look how cool they are!
I love all the illustrations, but my favourite is definitely the kitten in the top-left badge. Look at its little face! 
I feel like that drawing captures something beautiful and ineffable in the manul’s soul – it speaks to me deeply and beyond words.
And as someone who grew up in the '90s, I have a soft-spot for holographic things, so those holo-stickers hit me right in the heart too.

And, oh, what a coincidence! I also grew up in the 90’s!! I love holo things, so when I saw my manufacturer could make holo stickers, I just knew what I had to do hahahaha

I’ve bought a few things from the official zoo stores before… If you use a proxy usually international shipping isn’t too bad, especially if you buy a bunch of stuff at the same time and combine it. I am definitely lucky though… But I do often check Mercari for stuff like this so I can catch it
